Sanitization/disinfecting drones are drones equipped with fillable tanks that are capable of spraying any liquid, including disinfectants over large areas uniformly at variable spraying rates. These drones can be flown manually or autonomously and have the ability of spraying locations that are hard, if at all, accessible by humans. Utilizing these drones would lead to a reduction in costs and result in swifter spraying operations than manual spraying.

These drones have proven to be particularly useful following the unfortunate outbreak of COVID 19 and the necessity of protection of frontline workers from exposure to the virus or the sanitizing chemicals.
